RE: http://tech.military.com/equipment/view/89717/ch-53e-su...ion.html?eq_id=89717
I flew the 53A and B mod/ Da Nang USAF. The bird had collective probs. which were resolved. "B" Mod was focused but had "chip light" 6 on first stage trans. Once again replacement was a very critical problem as my Jolley was not airworthy. #1 nacell remained and continued to be a prob. Chips lit a 12 of 64. Finally the damn bird was good and rotated with ex-thrust. handling was mastered by forward cyclic with reduced collective. Hydraulic problems continued with reduced pressure to the T-rotor. This grounded 057 until new capture seals were replaced on the T-rotor bearings. |
