This is a work horse aircraft. No other one can do the things it can. Troops, cargo, both this bird will make it happen. It has it's hydraulic problems but when it's flying it's a good dependable bird. I worked on the CH & MH in the Navy. We once put over 17,000 lbs of mail on one bird, what a site. Many a story about this bird, she always got us home.

They are also about the loudest things I've ever been around. That high pitched whine is really nasty. I was told by a Crew chief it was the transmission. Or, is it really the three turbine engines that you sit among?
