You are probably going to find the info on the cost of these aircraft, but I doubt, unless you have some official reason to know, you'll not find out the maintenance and ops costs or requirements. I don't know about now, but when I was active duty, in aviation, that information was classified and kept within the commands/wing. Appropiations and funding for air ops comes from various sources and again, if you don't need to know it, for official reasons, its not really anyone outside the respective service or command's business.
To those who view this, I've checked this person's profile and there is really nothing to tell who this person is. I've already sent him a message stating this info is not for general public knowledge, let alone put it on here for someone like this to view. I don't know about now, but when I was an aircraft maintenance supervisor, operating costs and operational statistics were classified. Only authorized personnel in the command who knew the whole set-up and procedures had access. OPSEC on this one people?
Hi Mr.Jpope, Thank you for your time. I received your email. Im sorry if I didn't put so much on my profile because I wanted it to be confidential as it can be. Regarding the topic, Im a member of a military forum in my country and a military enthusiast as well. My country is planning to acquire new MRF's for its use, so in our forum we are discussing what's best for our country. I'm just asking for the estimate of acquiring new MRF's(market value). Pls bear with me, Because some of those whose involved in our our military's modernization program is checking our website out.
As a citizen of my country I think I have the right to know where our taxes are going to, but you dont have to answer my question if you dont want to, I just wanted to have some idea.. Thanks anyway.
Sir, with all due respect, if you are who and what you say you are, why are you not approaching the military powers to be in this country? Or for that matter your own? Coming on this website and out of a clear blue sky asking for materials that are not, I repeat not, open or cleared for public viewing, to be released by members of the US military, active or retired. Let me make a suggestion, Whatever your people are investing in, aircraft weapons system , why not contact the prime contractor of that system. I'm sure some of their sales staff can answer you about the maintenance and operational costs of that system. They would be much better at that and know what can be released and what not to release. I wouldn't be coming on here asking these types of questions again. Not only could you be picked up by your own people, once a complaint is made by the moderators, but you would be risking the careers and freedom of the military people here. It would be very wise to stop, and go somewhere else for your info.
