Okay. I don't recall seeing one on the forum. Not an original idea as I saw this on another forum I am a member of (I lack originality). However, I thought it was a nice idea to have something like this in our Social Forum.

The other day, while I was driving and listening to the radio. The radio hostess (Delila 101.5 Columbia, MO) takes calls from people who want to express their "Love" to their wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend in a song. She picks the song and they are almost always "right on." The lady is good!

I have always been a music lover. Nothing specific just as long as it is good music. I was listening and the song "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong came on the radio. It had been ages since I heard that song. I loved it back then and I love it now. Well, I was listening to a Jazz station just a few minutes ago and guess what? "What a Wonderful World" came on again! Twice in a week I heard a song that I had completely forgotten about.

Well, if you want to, post the song or music you are currently listening to here.

Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World

That's an awesome song.

Umm..song I haven't heard in a while?

'We are the world'

Sing it with me

...we are the children

....we are the one who make a brighter day
....so lets start giving.

As it happens, radio on my bench happens to be playing one of my old favorites - "The Heart Won't Lie" - Vince Gill and Reba McEntire.

It depends, if I'm jogging, Queen is always good, Pink Floyd, a little Cheap Trick and some Rush. For driving, Dave Matthews, Led Zepplin, and whatever cd the kids have stuck in the player.

My TV is my alarm clock. You can set it for the channel you want and the volume you want. So much nicer than an alarm clock, doesn't jar you awake.
I've got it set on Daystar channel, so I wake up to the most beautiful music and nature scenes.
It made my ears very happy to hear one of my favorites, right when I was waking up. I thought Larnelle Harris sang it, but maybe not, it says it was sung by a group called Truth. It's called "Why So Downcast". There's a little snippet of it here http://store.integritymusic.com/product.asp?prodid=104&deptid=

Disturbed - Stricken

You walk on like a woman in suffering
Won't even bother now, to tell me why
You come alone, letting all of us savor the moment
Leaving me broken, another time
You come on like a blood stained hurricane
Leave me alone, let me be this time
You carry on like a holy man pushing redemption
I don't want to mention, the reason I know

That I am stricken and can't let you go
When the heart is cold, there's no hope, and we know
That I am crippled by all that you've done
Into the abyss, will I run

You don't know what your power has done to me
I want to know if I'll heal inside
I can't go on, with a holocaust about to happen
Seeing you laughing, another time
You'll never know how your face has haunted me
My very soul has to bleed this time
Another hole in the wall of my inner defenses
Leaving me breathless, the reason I know

That I am stricken and can't let you go
When the heart is cold, there's no hope, and we know
That I am crippled by all that you've done
Into the abyss, will I run
Into the abyss, will I run

You walk on like a woman in suffering
Won't even bother now, to tell me why
You come alone, letting all of us savor the moment
Leaving me broken, another time
You come on like a blood staind hurricane
Leave me alone, let me be this time
You carry on like a holy man pushing redemption
I don't want to mention, the reason I know

That I am stricken and can't let you go
When the heart is cold, there's no hope, and we know
That I am crippled by all that you've done
Into the abyss, will I run
Into the abyss, will I run

I can't let you go
Yes I am stricken and can't let you go

I used to like Disturbed. They got old by only the 2nd album though, another flash in the pan, imo.

Anyway, I've been listening to a lot of Tool lately, also Nine Inch Nails, a few by Dave Matthews, some Alice in Chains, and Bullet For My Valentine.

Those are all just old favs from the ipod today. I haven't found a new band that I really like in awhile. I don't think that I've watched MTV in, oh, probably around 10 years. Worthless pop garbage and the most inane "shows" imaginable.

I haven't watched MTV in a while - but they do have one rather funny dating show called "Parental Control" - premise is that the parents get to pick out dates for thier child to go on, and then get to watch the dates along with the current girlfriend/boyfriend on live video, and at the end the dater has to choose between one of the two new ones or to stay with the current. Some of the comments said by the current significant other are hilarious.

I've watched that a few times, pretty funny. Can you imagine what some of the family dinners must be like after the 'child' decides to stay with the current boyfriend/girlfried? "Honey, do you remember when your mom called me a worthless tramp?..."
