Eh, I dunno, it's all relative. I hate to confess that I actually kind of liked it, it's got an old fashioned sweet homey-ness that appeals to me. See, had it been manufactured in 2009, you might have thought it was the berries.

Berries? What berries? And what is 1796 for? And WTH is that tee-pee thingy above the horses head?

While my whole house has a ‘vintage’ theme (I’m just short of a hat with a price tag dangling like Minnie Pearl’s), this wallpaper is original to the construction of the house. It’s tea-stained and unusual to say the least. I do plan to leave a square on the wall and mount a glassless frame around it!!

Big Grin Girl, they did things like that in the 50's.

It didn't have to make sense.

That tee pee thing is what is called skrimshaw, whalers would do it in wood, bone, whale's teeth, just about anything. On long voyagers bored is bored. The wallpaper looks like something from an old mobile home. I'm too lazy to move this, it stays.

Isn't 1796 the date for the Northwest territory act, opening it for settling?

LOL'd ~ I always thought skrimshaw was white; but how can you tell on tea-stained paper? Big Grin
