Shipmates, I just wanted to make sure you all know about the $350.00 available through the USCG Foundation Education Grant! very simple process, just go print out CGI Form 1560-10A (Rev. 5/07)(Adobe forms).This program allows the reembursment of textbooks, aplication costs, enrollment fee's etc. Simply fill out the form and hand it in to your XO or designee for their "good guy comments" and then fax it to the foundation, Thats it, checks in the mail! If you couple that with the $160.00 you can get through Mutual Assistance (SEG) thats a pretty nice piece of change for you. Some of you probably knew this, but if at least one of you didn't, this post was worth it. Good luck.

I have used this program in the past, but does it matter what degree you're going for, or does it stop at your bachelors degree?

I'm 99% positive you can use this money towards your Master's or Doctorate as well! I reserve the 1% because I'm not quite there yet! Good luck and take advatage of this stuff.

Thanks to CG foundation my grand total out of pocket cost for my AAS $18. Thanks to ACET my grand total cost for my BS should be about $400 (mostly parking).
