You would think as a YN3 you would know where to find that answer. LOOK IT UP. It is called the Personal manual.

YEa....smart answer there. There's no clear answer in the Personnel Manual. Not when you're advancing AND on the "A" school list.

Yes I do believe it is a smart answer. You state that you are THINKING about taking the YN2 SWE and hopefully advancing. Maybe you should rethink your goals. Taking care of a small child is maybe more important in your life than HS school. I would be talking to your supervisor or CMC where ever you are at. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, But I will call a spade a spade.

I see there is no need to get involved here...situation well in hand.

but, it is outlined in the CIM1000.6(series) plus that is what the rating force managers are there for...to answer your questions after looking it up...btw, did you ask yer Chief?

Having gone thorugh the process, the Personal manual is vague at best about the process. I'm not sure exactly what the first question was, but to Seagull I say...LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS!

Completing a change of rate for anyone E-6 and below is simple - and can be done by that persons CO. Walk in and tell them you want to change rate. If they don't do it right away, get mad.

If you want to change RATINGS, that is a little more difficult.

Smile

The madder you are, the greater the change!

I guess that could be true - but if your CO is an O-6 or below, he is only authorized to change you rate by one step. I guess if you are realy mad, (and show it), he could arrange for a more drastic change! Big Grin
