I have a question concerning TA. One other person and I at my station are working on their degree. Anyway, the other person put in his TA form for last semester and the ESO/OIC didn't sign it until after the classes had started. He kept bugging our ESO/OIC but the ESO/OIC kept saying he was too busy. Now last week I put in my TA form and the ESO/OIC is working on signing mine. So my question is, what can I do? I am sure I can go to my gold badge but then my OIC will hold a grudge against me and all future TA forms will never be submitted. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm sorry to hear that happened. The TA Application should be submitted approx 2 weeks before you pay for the class. In some cases depending on the school you can pay for the class yourself and when the authorized TA comes in the school will reimburse you. This is not the case with all schools so be careful doing that. That is not how the program is supposedto work. Also be sure to call the school just before you submit your TA to make sure the class costs haven't gone up. That has happened to me twice in the last two years and it was a pain in the butt to fix it. Be sure to keep your receipts from any books or testing fees. The CG Fountation will reimburse you up to I think $375.00 every calendor year as long as your receipts are not older than one year. Keep moving forward on your education and the process will get better.
K9, Great advice... The only thing I would offer up is a correction to "approx 2 weeks." It is nearly hard and fast sans a very good explanation... If that form isn't to the Institute 14 days prior to the start of the class date, you are skrued! And you always want to allow that you may occasionally get something wrong on the form... ESO could be on emergency leave... A dozen things could go wrong at the last minute. Don't wait! Leave yourself room for error.
ALCOAST 367/07 goes over the procedural changes in submitting Tuition Assistance forms to the CG Institute via the ESO. Forms are now submitted electronically to the Institute NLT 2 weeks and no more the 3 months prior to start of course.

$350 from CG Foundation and $160 from CG Mutual Assistance. UnderwayYN is correct. The TA form must be at the institute 14 days prior to the start of the class. As the Commander said, contact the ESO at the ISC. He/she may be able to help.
One final note. If it does take a call over the OIC head, make sure you go through the Sector Silverbadge first and make sure you follow your chain of command.
