Hello,

I am currently trying to use the new E-TA (electronic TA) through the Navy. I know a lot of units have not started using it though but my new reserve unit uses it. (At least I think a lot of units do not use it, correct me if I'm wrong, please.)

I just got off of active duty and I am now in the SELRES. I cannot access E-TA b/c it says my active duty EOE has expired. Do any reservists out there know how to access this? I know it's pretty close to my EOE (active duty date) and me just entering the SELRES but my classes begin in about 4 weeks and I'm trying to get ahead of the game.

I didn't use E-TA through my last unit as an active duty yeoman. Thank you.

1.Find the PDF form on CG institute Website
2.Fill it in and sign it electronically.
3.Save a copy
4.send to your ESO as an attachment to an EMail

CG Institute will approve it and you should get an authorization in an email attachment.

Thank you, I know how to do that. There is a NEW SYSTEM the CG is using in some units directly through the navy and it's called Electronic TA. I already got it figured out but thank you for your response.

eTA is being used by the full time ESOs. However your ESO should still accept the form from you as a reservist. All AD members are expected to use eTA but it won't be for Reservists until 1 July 2009.

Thank you for the clarification. I submitted my TA last week through the Adobe form and submitted it. It's already approved, but that is useful information to know. Thanks, again.

There is a NEW ELECTRONIC SYSTEM for TA applications that will go into effect this summer. It is through the nko.navy.mil website. THAT is what YNGirl81 was referring to. However, YN, I believe the OLD electronic TA is still in use until that time.
