UK SAR Management Degree???

Does anyone know of a university that offers a online Search and Rescue Management Degree?

I am retired from the USCG and live in the United Kingdom where I work for what is essentially their version of the USCG with regard to SAR, called the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

I have a team of Lifeboat Trainers and am interested in enrolling them in a formal SAR degree program.

I was speaking with a RN officer who stated that he thought a program like that was offered by a university in the States but he could not remember where.

Would be keen for any leads on this program or ideas for universities that let you “build” degree programs.

I did not find the degree program I was looking for but have found a University willing to create it.

If anyone out there is interested in a Masters Degree in Maritime Search and Rescue Management, delivered through distance education, drop me a line at jojo_mains@rnli.org.uk and I’ll let you know if and when the University will be taking applications. It looks like their program will be academically vetted and ready by September 2010. Bare in mind this is a University in the United Kingdom.
