I am confused. I have been on the VA website and I don't fully understand when you can receive your POST 9/11 GI BILL benefits. It states: Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits are payable for training pursued on or after August 1, 2009. No payments can be made under this program for training pursued before that date. What I don't understand and would like some help on is when it says "for training." What is that referring to?

anything education related that the GI bill is authorized to pay for. Post 9/11 bill starts August of next year, until then the MGIB continues.
