i joined the coast guard a little over a month ago and im trying to get my prior service college credits added to my transcript. i cant find any thing that points me in the right direction. any adve out there?

Start by requesting an education assessment from the CG Institute.

Check out the American Council on Education Website. It is what most educational institutions use in order to determine how many college credits a student has earned through non-traditional education, such as military schools, vocational/trade schools, On-the Job training, Employment Experience. There is also a link that directly identifies every school each branch of service offers, and translates it to how many credit hrs you can expect to recieve from most educational institutions.
