I calculated my projected terminal leave up, and if it works out, I would be departing mid Nov 08. Is there anyway to get extra leave to attend the fall semester?

Terminal leave no. An early out yes. Best dig out the personnel manual and start reading. That book is pure gold for those who will put forth the effort to read it.

I just went through this for one of my guys, and it's pretty clear - you can get approved for an additional 30 days early out for school, but that's it. Requests for time beyond 30 days will not be entertained. So, like Antarctic mentioned, check out the PERSMAN - Ch. 12.B.8 Good Luck!

I would also suggest to keep in mind that all leave - terminal leave included is at the Command's Discretion. NOBODY is entitled to terminal leave. This is a great reminder / motivator to keep being the BEST Coastie right up to the end! Even once granted - it can be canceled.

You are authorized your 60 days of leave and the command can release you up to 30 days. Their is no waiver for early release past 90 days as per the Personnel Manual.
