I have found Copper-tin plated all day long, but nothing with silver. I am looking for the pad-eye type. I just want to put copper ones on, but my MK1 is hell bent on the tougher stuff. He's worried about them eventually cracking; yet the current ones are solid copper and are doing just fine. Meh......why me...
Find out his reasoning. It may make sense afterall. If not, admit it's tough finding what he wants and that you are doing everything you can to comply. and ASK HIS ASSISTANCE. If he knows they are available, he must know their source. Get him involved and you may learn something. Fraud is never a good idea. You'll get the reputation of a liar, a cheat and no one that I would trust with anything important.
Politely point out to him that you don't tell him what to put on his engines so he doesn't need to tell you what to use for your electrical equipment. You are the EM there, he isn't.
Three things: 1. The difference in conductivity between copper and silver only makes that much of a difference when dealing with electronic applications, eg microprocessors and circuit cards. 2. Copper battery lugs cost $1.5 each 3. Why are you moving battery cables with enough force to break the lugs?
also MKs say buzz words they pick up in thier careers and use them to sound more intelligent. never trust an MK trust the ship's drawings and standard outfits.
Sorry I haven't replied to you guys sooner. All of you are right in what you say and I have used them all. Sparks I like what you said about conductivity performance. I will use that point from now on until I die.
I have been completey honest with him, but unfortunately I am playing the EM vs MK here. Like you said they know buzz words and that's it. I'm slowly proving my points here but at the same time, I'm cutting bricks with a spoon. Independent EM2 duty = very frustrating.
