I'm looking for info on if it is practical to run a CPAP (breathing device for sleep apnea) from the battery of my F-150 via an invertor, with the engine not running.
From what I can find, the CPAP uses from 2.5 to 4 amps. I can't find the watts.
The questions are:
Would the battery run the CPAP all night and still have enough power to crank the engine over to recharge the battery the next day?
How long would the truck have to idle with all accessories off to recharge the battery, assuming idle speed will recharge the battery?
Due to location of the campsite, solar is not an option unfortunately.
Try this link. There is also a section where you can fill in all of your information, and it will make a table for you. My first thought is that the CPAP will not function correctly with your vehicle turned off, and if it does your battery will not last very long;certainly not the whole night.
