There is an new Electronic Manual .25C and it no longer states an annual requirement. I am an ET and we have also struggled with this. I have talked to the HQ personnel who put this new revision together and they have not found anything to support the annual requirement so they took it out. Most of us that I am aware of follow the standard 2 year practice.

When did the .25C come out?? The 10550.25B has May 2007 listed in the first page. If they have another edition out this quickly, they just set a record!!

I was mistaken, Party Charlie is correct .25B is the lastest version, however the rest I put in my earlier post is correct.

It may not be a requirement....

BUT IT IS A DAMN GOOD IDEA!

You want to call the dead EM3's mom and say "Well I am sorry ma'am you son died because only 50% of our shop had to CPR qualified when you son got electricuted and all those guys were on leave..."

Never shirk on safety, period.

rant complete....
