I'll be nice on this reply. There is already one person that was asking for this and the replies were not friendly. You are not going to get a study guide on here. You are going to get the right advice and that is read the manuals and get on the boats and work on the equipment. Get your hands on a repeater, boiler, MK27, windshield wiper, conduit bender, and try and read the NSTM's. It never hurts to know more than what the question is asking.

The Coast Guard provides that, it's called course material, don't cheat yourself with a study guide it will make you a sub-par EM

I appreciate the replies pointing me and my co-workers in the right direction. I wasn't actually looking for a study guide per se, I was looking for recommendation far beyond the actual the new EM2 study guide(09/2005). I should've been more specific and clear on what I was asking. FYI, this new Em2 study guide has been review and corrected for errors I believe a couple of times. This corrections can be found in the EM microsite (CG Central) just in case any of you have an EM3 studying straight out of the EM study guide. And like some of you said, which is completely true, "it never hurts to know more than what the question is asking", thank you very much

When you refer to "study guide" do you mean end of course material? If so your ESO should be able to get the most up to date material for you and your shipmates. But I think the end of October is a little late to be requesting that information in time for the November SWE.

Since i just recently passed my EM2 test with 100 percent i can tell you one of the best ways to learn what is going to be on the test is to take it once.. and see what kind of material is on it.. seeing i stuck EM i already had a strategy from taking the EM3 EOCT. the EM2 EOCT is one of hardest tests you will ever take in your coast guard carreer so STUDY STUDY STUDY. ... some of the most emphisized things were gyro, admin (ie tagout log when to do audits thing like that),salinity indicator system, and circuit breakers, to name a few there are 80 questions... best of luck to ya mate
