Recently had an interesting problem. Unit was in DPS lost pilot house control, tried to shift to MSCC. Did not transfer but MSCC indicator said transfer of control was effective. MSCC monitor indicated that the secondary basket was rebooting (made in Marrianette box came up). In ECCC there were not any alarms on MPCMS nor any indication there was a loss of pilot house control(MDE RPM 720/Shaft 200,Pitch moving). Tried to take control in ECCC and would not transfer. Ended up taking control in emergency manual. Both VME's were logging as active with no alarms down in ECCC and no red light of death on any of the secondary basket cards. My thoughts are that DPS would not relinquish control. It is not an LIU issue due to the fact we no longer have the safenet lan or the LIU's, we have the new CGDDS system. I cannot go into specific details right now due to investigation on incident, but any help with possible cause would be appreciated.

Hey Dave,
Any progress? Have you been able to duplicate the problem? I will take a look at what I can see on NE-TIMS and my books when I get home. Looks like the mishap reads a little bit different than your original posting. Just thought I would mention that in case anyone else was curious, they should read the board.

Hope all is well otherwise!

Hey Mark,
Ya not so good here, It is looking like we have a VME CPU issue. We isolated RTU4 and CGDDS. Took all power (120VAC 24VDC and 5VDC)off of both baskets and did a complete reboot. We have a 100% astern pitch indication on MPCMS (PRPN-535) and (CPP-502). When both MDE's are running in local control they are fine but when we shift to remote they ramp up to 720 even with the clutches disengaged. Another indication we have is that neither EOT's alarm for levers mismatched. Hopefully we will be able to get TANO out here soon.
