I would suggest NOT waiting to do any last minute studying. Prepare and research the materials to study (EPME, NSTM, NEM, etc) a couple months in advance and then study that material up to the test date. Perhaps leave a day or two at the end to review everything and quiz yourself or have someone quiz you. Of course, the way they have been exhausting the list you may be able to squeeze your way up to E-6, but that probably won't cut it for E-7, E-8, and E-9.
Lots of material + short time = Read the first and last sentence of every paragraph. A good writer will put the most important points in these areas. Good Luck.
Last minute studying for anything isn't very effective. I recomend a good nights sleep and a balanced breakfast over cramming. Seriously get some rest and eat breakfast.
if nobody studies for the servicewide (which i think no one really does) then we will all be somewhat equal and at the same time a lot less stress filled. i paid so close attention about the SWE last may that i came into work the day of and was told i had to take a test. i said ok, cool. it lets me see what i really know instead of what i can retain for short periods. also i downed a bottle of grey goose the night before. mmmmm
