Keep in mind this is the same guy that ran on a platform of stopping the corruption in NY politics and described himself as "an ethics steamroller"

This report will be interesting...not shocking. Typical politician traits revealed.. they speak with forked tongue and continue to set the standard of leadership for all to see and unfortunately ..imitate. Would like to see him in a cell paying back his paycheck for misapproriation of funds.

I’ve been saying it all along. Our elected officials lie, cheat and steal and you folks keep voting them back in! The majority of these fools are hypocrites. Why does this surprise anyone?

We’ll see once you’re in office. But I’ll be watching. Oh yes, I will be watching!

I would hope so. Anyone looking for a Chief of Staff position?

Notice how the "News" is being reported.....their talking points word is "tragedy" and they are not saying he is a (D).

Wonder if it would be a "tragedy" if spitzer was followed by a (R)?

Lets just legalize prostitution, then it won't be such an issue and people can focus on real problems. Plus it would boost morale Big Grin

The only tragedy is the people were hoodwinked by another charlatan.

Kind of like the tragic events poor Larry Craig had to go through in that bathroom stall. Roll Eyes

I don't know about that?! At least yesterday, MSNBY (Tucker/Hardball/Countdown) made a pretty big deal of him not only being a Democrat, but also that he was a "super delegate" pledged to Hillary.

Here's a little speculation for you......if Spitzer was using these girls services when he was prosecuting two other prostitution rings is it too far out to consider he might have come to a "arrangement" with this ring?

Uh-Oh....someone is going to have to answer some questions about their tragic actions.

SPITZER HAS USED HOOKERS FOR 6 YEARS: SOURCES

March 11, 2008 -- Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been soliciting high-priced hookers for at least six years and possibly for more than a decade, sources tell The Post.

The revelation yesterday that the crusading governor was in fact "Client 9" named in a federal prostitution indictment did not shock insiders in the city's sex industry.

Sources tell The Post that Spitzer had frequented high-priced hookers as far back as 2002 and possibly earlier.

Spitzer, who as attorney general lead investigations into prostitution, was among an elite group of powerbrokers and high-powered attorneys that regularly paid for dates at top escort agencies, sources said.

IRS investigators inadvertently stumbled upon Spitzer's secret life as a prostitute patron when his bank referred them to questionable wire transfers in his commercial bank account.

At the time, investigators suspected the money was going toward some kind of political purpose until they realized his payments to QAT Consulting and QAT International were actually paying for hookers from Emperors Club VIP.

Spitzer apparently also knew the mystery prostitute identified as "Kristen" in court papers very well.

He may had as many as seven previous "dates" with the $1,000 an hour girl, newsday.com reported.

Federal investigators listened on phone calls between Spitzer and Emperors Club managers and call between the managers and "Kristen" before and after a Feb 13 date in Washington D.C.

Spitzer remained holed-up in his Fifth Avenue mansion yesterday as speculation mounted that he'll resign.

He's also reportedly hired a top-notch criminal defense law firm in anticipation of possible charges over his possibly illegal bank transfers."

I guess his wife wasn't too happy either. . .

quote:
. . .But whatever Spitzer - or, in the language of a federal court filing, "Client 9" - did with a petite brunette nicknamed "Kristen" on the eve of Valentine's Day last month at Washington's Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, it probably wasn't as monstrous as what he asked his wife to do Monday.

In the grand tradition of Idaho Sen. Larry Craig, Louisiana Sen. David Vitter and former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevy, Spitzer dragged his partner of 21 years before the television cameras at his offices in New York to announce that he was "disappointed" in himself for unspecified sins.

Silda Wall Spitzer looked like a victim of food poisoning as she stood by her man's side. She cast her eyes downward at the 183-word statement while he read it. She raised her glance only briefly, when the governor admitted he had "acted in a way that violates my obligation to my family," when he offered an apology "to the public, whom I promised better," and again when he pledged to "dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family."

The silent Mrs. Spitzer - Harvard law school graduate, corporate lawyer, nonprofit founder and mother of the governor's three daughters - then led Client 9 away from the lectern.

Fortunately for Mrs. Spitzer, the ordeal lasted only 67 seconds, and the governor, his forehead shining under the TV lights, took no questions. Unfortunately for Mr. Spitzer, this left unchallenged a rather lurid account of the events of last month at the Mayflower in the federal prosecutors' filing; indeed, Spitzer admitted he violated "any sense of right and wrong."

You're not kidding, Governor. He didn't even splurge on the Acela Express for the prostitute . . .

I asked the wife which she would be more angry at me for doing:

Using a hooker’s services OR
Paying over $4,200 for one hour of sex with the hooker.

She told be that I’d better never pay $4,200 for sex and if I do, she’d better be the one cashing the check! Big Grin

Were this a Republican, what would be going on right now? Please try to recall the uproar with ‘Wide Stance Craig’. Where is the outrage of the Democrats? I find it interesting that there is not a human cry demanding that he quit! Interesting in a hypocritical sort of way.

Disagreed I don't find this coverage interesting...What would be 'interesting" is if the liberal press covered this with the vengence they do when a conservative is caught.
