Chap,

Do you have a link? I heard something about this but have been a little out of touch with the news this week.

TJ,

Thanks for the link. There was another college slaying in NH that I had been following.

Chap,

I think you are correct. They caught the 17 year old they think was involved. Good police work.

Men who hate the mother who gave birth to him go after ALL women. No matter the color or the age. We have one woman murdered every 15 minutes in the US. An angry husband, a complete stranger, a man who's rebuffed. Old age doesn't protect the women.

Apparently the war on murder is a failure...I guess we should abandon it.

Is there a War on Murder? Are you comparing murder to drug use? If so, perhaps you could use a dose of reality as they are not one in the same. Unless, of course you speak of the murders that occur because prohibition has made drugs so profitable that murder is used to protect the profits.

It was a case from last fall where a UNH football player was suspected of murdering someone in CA.

Nope - I'm comparing a crime with a...Crime. Both have laws, both create problems for society.

You are deciding all on your own (again issuing conclusions) That one deserves something more than the other...I let judges do that.

Ohhh.... I was also pointing out the stupidity of declaring the war on drugs a failure because it's not cured the problem.

Good, life sentences for all!!! Judges know all... And if they do not,... then I will continue with absolutely abstract comments.

Oh, about the Girls.

This was a very tragic event that should happen to no one. My condolences to the families.

Too bad it must happen to pretty white girls for anyone to even notice.

Makes me wonder why good people grade people like that.

You are comparing a crime with a crime alright. Ever hear of proportionality? So in your mind you could compare say rape with larceny or embezzlement with manslaughter? As you said from the Guinness commercial "Brilliant!" Evidently the harm to society does not set up a priority in your mind.

No, grasshopper, I am not deciding anything on my own. Some crimes are more harmful than others based on science and data not my opinion. Oh, by the way, judges don't decide what the law is they just interpret the law. The legislature decides what laws should be on the books and we all know legislatures are often wrong or worse become enamored by popularism.

At last you see the light, the futility of the War on Drugs due to its failure. Applause

Actually you are the one talking about comparisons....And I left it open (my mistake) for you to continue your rant, and spin away as you like to do. You have used the lack of curing the crime as your criteria...based on numerology, that is suspect at best...You can't go back in time and see what would have happened without the war in the first place, until you do all you can offer is conjecture, no matter what you base it on, it's conjecture.

An argument could be made that if drugs are cheaper, better and easier to get now, with the war on drugs, how much worse would it be without? But as we can't go back and alter history we will never know.

That does not remove this truth...both are crimes.

So is speeding...everybody does it, should we stop enforcing it?

How about check kiting, no foul here, no violence, heck, no crime, right? How about noise ordinances...isn't responding to them a waste of tax payer dollars?

Should we have all laws sent to you for revision? That way you can inform us which are worthy?

Yep, it's not too obvious, ya right, that you have to be an attractive white girl to have it reported on CNN, FOX or MSNBC these days....for the most part anyways, not 100%.
