“God Damn America!”

There was a day that those words were “God BLESS America’. But not to the wonderful Reverend Wright. He wants America to be damned. So, why should we care what this man of the cloth preaches? Because this man has been filling the heads of his followers for well over 20 years and one of those heads belonged to Barack Hussein Obama. Another head being filled with hate speech was Michelle Obama. This Reverend Wright routinely spewed all kind of anti- white, anti-American hate. He said that the evil white people created HIV/AIDS in order to kill black people. He hates white people and routinely preached hate from the pulpit. He blamed America for the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and rejoiced in those innocent deaths. He blames white people for drugs and says that white folks created drugs to get black people addicted. And NOT ONCE did Barack Hussein Obama or his wife get up and walk out of the speech. Instead, Barack Hussein Obama decided to not salute the flag by placing his hand over his heart. Instead, Michelle Obama ‘slipped’ when she said that she was finally proud of her nation for the first time in her life.

Now, the right (and probably the Clinton Campaign) will spin it this way. That Obama knew that hate was being peddled and agreed with the anti-white, anti-American hate. Remember, you can normally tell the character of an individual by examining the folks they hang around with. Remember mom telling you to not hang out with that person or you will become just like them? Was mom right? Are we about to elect an anti-white, anti-America president? Will this hurt Obama or will the damned American public overlook this, too?

Also, Obama is a black Muslim terrorist that hates America and wants to convert your kids to Islam. He refuses to say the national anthem and he took the oath on the Koran.

A vote for Obama is a vote for terrorism. You are not an American unless you wrap yourself in the American flag and vote Republican while eating an apple pie.

Camel, you missed the point but your reaction to what was said is interesting. If I read the intent of your post correctly, you are attacking me for reporting the truth rather than discuss the facts of what really occurred.

Also for full disclosure, I voted for Obama in the primary, so if your intent is to paint me with a wide bigoted brush, try a different brush. Of course, I always leave the door open for the possibility that I am misinterpreting your words. Wink

Oh, and I am not a Republican… but I’m not a Democrat, either! Never assume!

Despite my sarcasm, I actually do think that this is kind of a big deal.

Obama better find some damage control on this, or he is toast.

In the meantime, John McCain is loving the situation hes in right now. He doesn't even have to attack Obama. Clinton will do it for him. I'd take a nice vacation if I were him

And yeah, I did assume. I guess that the saying is true...

That was closer to my point! What would or should he do?

Well, if I were him, I wouldn't try to brush this under the rug. Take it head on, but I'd watch my words carefully. I would make sure that I distanced myself from him and reject his statements. Then I would make sure to highlight the things that I have done in the past that were contradictory to the Rev's statements.

Mac should have a political dingleberry get as down and dirty with the FACTS about B-Rock and his associations.

JAC, somewhere between 17 and 20 years. I have heard both numbers reported. Wright was the man that married Barack and Michelle. I believe he baptized their children. He has been their spiritual advisor for nearly two decades. Even Barack states that Wright is like an uncle (maybe a crazy uncle) to him.

Pat, how do you suddenly distance yourself from a guy that was your ‘uncle’ for 20 years? Maybe ‘blood’ is not thicker than inconvenience.

Well into his bid for the presidency before he decided to "distance" himself.

Well, that’s an interesting question. When President Bush visited Bob Jones University (I think it was) the media attacked him for associating with a religious zealot. Now shouldn’t Obama be held to the same standard or do Democrats get off easy? Wink

And remember, you can tell the character of a man by the company he keeps. And to quote Barack’s ‘uncle, “God Damn America!”. How’s that for association? Wink

Also, shouldn’t president denounce a man telling God to damn his country? And should the president stand against racism? Well, rather than do that, Barack never left the church but just sat there listening. That SHOULD raise questions.

Mark ..there using the ole birds of a feather flock together message..and rightfully so..the guy did call this man his mentor and all and attended his church some 20yrs.

Rush has been playing this hate speech all day..so has fox news..i think its sorta funny myself.

I also liked watching David Duke(the x grand dragon himself) campain..at least there not politically correct. Smile

My all time favorite speakers speach award would have to go to Bill Cosby talking to a all black crowd.

Old bill had a illedgment child hidden in his closet...but the closet is clean now..i wish he would run for president..he has the education ..and the money and there is always room for jello...and bill crosses racial bounderies everyone loves bill cosby.

I'm not so sure. I listened to conservative talk radio today, and it was beat to death. I was convinced that this is a blockbuster story that could likely turn the campaign. Then I watched ABC News tonight and it was not mentioned. If the mainstream media doesn't pick it up, Obama may weather the storm.
