I moved to Calif. with my parents in 1945. Left the state for good in 1998. So I feel OK about poking fun at Californians.

One thing though, I though the liberals were in So. Cal. Or maybe they have begun infiltrating north.......I saw a few of them in San Jose before I left....

Now I'm lost. Been under EMCON a few days and this thread has taken a turn that has NOTHING to do with the topic. Instead, it's turned into a head bashing, mud slinging calling out free for all. Can't we all show some respect, keep our political views to a low roar and not tarnish the moment? Is that too much to ask (yes, even here on the SOAPBOX)..

Many of them found there way up to Oregon and Washington. I know many native Oregoneons who do not like it either.

You, my friend are correct about this thread. So much so....I made a command decision earlier in the week to remove the picture from the thread out of respect for the two veterans pictured. Like myself, many folks were moved in a patriotic way. They were the intended audience. Speaking for myself, I did not want that image that I posted tarnished or my name associated with a patriotic thread that went south. I have no problem discussing opposing viewpoints all day long, just not on this thread as long as that image was attached. It was not right.....shame on us!

Anyway, that's the way I see it.

Just like the state of New York....There are plenty of conservatives....But the city folk out number the rest...NY City verses "upstate"

CA - Los Angeles and Frisco (I call it that because they hate it)...Outnumber those with common sense.

The mayor (who is the most moronic jackass I've ever seen) cares more for illegal aliens than the legal citizens of his city. What you say is correct for the vast majority of Americans. The reality is there is a very small segment of "Americans" out there (not on this site) who would differ with you and still claim to be "Americans". IMO....legally they might be, that would be about it.

Yea there's a few bad apples in every barrel unforunatly. Thanks for the luck. I intended to join a long time ago...but to be honest I didn't have myself together then, nor did I know what I wanted. I'm joining in the medical field..I currently work at a hospital so it's a good fit for me. I think working in miliary hospitals will be one heck of an experience!!
