No, it wasn't a note to some bully ... and we didn't attack the bully. We attacked his next-door neighbor.

What you call going off course was the action needed to take the next step, Address the problem at it's roots. Terrorists need to know they will not be tolerated. They need to know they do not get to negotiate. They need to realize we are not just going after the terrorists themselves but the removing as many potential people (providing those people better options) that live in such despair, that strapping a bomb on their chest seems to be a good idea....They need to know we aren't suggesting they change, we will asure it, they need to know we will also consider those that support them just as responsible.

Until we do that, they will continue to rise up and kill innocent people.

I'm not sure how many on this board are actually from NYC. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, until I joined @ 22. My family and friends had to go to dozen of funerals, and those that I know that are NYPD/FDNY had to go to HUNDREDS of funerals. I think we tend to forget what FINALLY led the troops to surge over in the Middle East. It wasn't because some bully wrote a note to POTUS saying he was going to beat him up after class.

Oh, Jekel... More hyperbole from the right. I used to get mad when ignorant people ike you spewed your venom, now I just pity you. So scared, so angry.

Hello pot, meet kettle.

You become an adolescent with name calling and I'm the ignorant one?

How many people do YOU know had to jump out a 100 story window because there was no other way out? NY'ers were lucky that the INITIAL attempt to blow up the WTC didn't work. You know - when Clinton was POTUS and they drove a van into the parking lot.

Speaking of Clinton - let me guess - you're a fan right?

One thing I am not is scared, although angry I'd say sure. I have the right to be. Just as you have the right to have a bleeding heart.

Not to worry J - One knows when they make a point with a left wing conspiracy theorist when they retort by attacking the messenger with insults instead of the message. I, like you, know honor and integrity.

Why is it the left jumps on the "Fear bandwagon excuse" concerning a real threat...Voiced threats by people that have followed through on their threats time and time again...

Yet these same liberals consider perceived threats - Global warming, conservative leaders - as worthy of fear?

blah, blah, blah.. Tone down the rhetoric, dude. My response to you was directed at your rude comments about "the bleeding hearts", as if anyone who isn't foaming at the mouth like you wouldn't fight to defend the shores of America. Get real. You're the nut case here (yes, I'm name calling; I'm tired of being nice to you people).

As for Clinton, whatever. That seems to be all you and your right wing nut case friends have as a retort to people you disagree with.

And who would that "left wing conspiracy theorist" be? Me? If it is, then go ahead and post proof that I'm a conspiracy theorist. Run along now and do that for me.

Spoken like a true Armchair General. Hey, as long as it's not you who has to do the fighting, then let's just invade the entire middle east! Right? That's about how you right wingers think.

I do believe your post violates TOS.

You don't know me - that's obvious. Let's start off with I'm not a "dude". We can continue your tirade in more private quarters if you like Mr. "Nunya Business" public profile.

I've come to the determination that once you find the center of the universe you'll be disappointed that you're not it. Trust me when I tell you that any reply you make to this post will not be ignored, it's just that you've become insignificant.

Jeez, if I didn't know better, I might get the impression that you are disparaging your very own candidate, B. H. Obama - the guy who promises to talk with any and all terrorists with NO preconditions and to attack an ally (Pakistan) if they fail to cooperate to his satisfaction.

It is also interesting that an anonymous sand pounder continues to get away with personal attacks on a genuine career - track sailor

I don't think he can help it. I think he's been in California too long and has been assimilated. Wink

I would suggest an immediate transfer to somewhere in Mississippi or Alabama. It might not be too late to save him! Big Grin

I am terribly sorry you see this the way you do. The extremists that wish us all dead (or convereted to Islam), want you dead, just like they want me dead. I'm proud that finally a leader of this nation took this situation serious enough to risk his popularity.

Ironically that very thing is the one so many complain about, politicians always doing what is best for themselves ahead of what is best for the nation. Going to war in Iraq was always a losing proposition for President Bush, politically speaking, he knew it would not be a quick fix, he mentioned several tines that this would take resolve and patience from the American people, despite those words many from the liberal side of the aisle chose to twist and distort, to undermine the political opposition. They (liberal representatives)were doing (undermining the war on terror)what was best for their political party and personal best interests.

You've eaten it up like morning cereal.

Speaking as a Native Californian, I'm insulted to have this thing, this Liberal cowards Liberal leanings blamed on us. Most liberals in this state come from the state of confusion and for some reason seem to like it in Northern Calif. where they travel in packs and tell lies to each other until they believe the lies are truth. (If you're not a liberal it won't make sense) Which they then blog to each other until the news media picks it up and proclaims it FACT. Whisper
