I see his Las Vegas concert run of 20 shows sold out in 5 hours. The tickets start at $125. Is he worth it at? IMO....nope.

Surface Force has always thought of him as a phony. His songs are about God, love, trust and family which he sells to horny housewives nationwide who eat that sort of stuff up. Meanwhile he is all the time screwing around on his own family with Trisha Yearwood (who he later dumps his wife for). Roll Eyes

In a word: SCALPERS

Be them individuals or large companies... same thing.. just as many do for the NASCAR races.

Not worth the price in my book.

Wray... Cool

To see U2 a couple of months ago, the tickets were $250 a piece! So, if that's the scale, I don't see how Garth Brooks is 50% of U2.

If I had to choose, I'd just keep the money and get NFL Ticket... Still might have some cash left over for some beverages!

$250 for U2?? I think the 2005 Cream reunion tickets in the cheap seats were $250. I'd do Cream for $250, not U2 though.

Only concert I’d pay $250 for would be the Beetles, the original 4; i.e. it aint happening. $250 will feed the Trans Am for a week of fun in the sun.

I remember paying $12.00 to see Led Zeppelin (went two nights in a row)and most of the other great groups of that era. Even with inflation that was still cheap.

Lorrie Morgan was on "Huck" last night singing a song from her new album. It is a collection of old school standards. She is still looking and singing fabulous! Dvlish

I also concur about most of todays country music. It's not my idea of true country and western music. It seems like many of the young bucks all wear earrings. You'd never see the old timers with earrings or the ladies with tats for that matter. The people I'd like to see aren't around anymore. Marty Robbins, JC, original Carter Family, Johnny Horton, etc. I did check on George Jones's tour sched to see when he'd be in my area. I'd do a Haggard and Dolly show too.

I like to watch the Classic Country music channel on Comcast Cable although they consider some of the 80's songs as "classic's". IMO they need a few more years on them to be considered classics.
