I don't know why it's funny...but an adult on a trike, falling over is just funny.

I cannot remember the character's name ... but I will never forget the poem

"Oh ... look up in the sky,
It's a butterfly.
He can't wave, he can't say goodbye,
he ain't got no arms,
he's a butterfly."

You're thinking of, "A poem, by Henry Gibson..."

Artie Johnson as the German soldier. "Vellie interesting, but SHTUPID!"

Ruth Buzzie as the little old lady.

What a classic sitcom.

RIP Dick!

Come on now. Do you really believe that Nixon actually said 'Sock it to me!"

...or was that an early demo of voice-over technology?

All clear on the line!?
Let the conspiracy advocates commence firing.
Fire at will!

Ruth Buzzie as the old lady and Artie Johnston as the dirty old man making propositions. "Want a bite of my Walnuto?" She belts him with her purse. That is priceless humor and not a single F word to be heard.
