I usually dont go out on a limb to endorse a firearm. But recently I purchased a five shot revolver from Taurus International called the "Judge".

This revolver is a must have if you are looking for an excellent close quarters home/car defense firearm.

I got the 3 inch blue for around $420. The fit and finish is excellent. I have mine loaded with .410- 000 buck. That is 3 pellets .357 caliber at 1400 feet per second. I'm a fan of this one already. Happy shooting.

chapwood....... Cool

I recently bought a Benelli Supernova Tactical .12 gauge with pistol grip and ghost ring sights for $387. My big home defense gun.

Loaded it with birdshot, OO buck, and last, but not least, a deer slug.

Can't go wrong with a good ole 12 gauge. This combo revolver just happened to come out on the market and would make a nice supplement firearm to anyones current collection. I forgot to mention earlier. It shoots great!!!! Gun

Whats your plan with the bird shot, erase thier sence of smell, sight, taste and hearing before you deliver a half moon shot to the chest followed by a big hole to the groin! WOW Cool

Bird shot is as lethal as OO buck at close range, but doesn't over penetrate.

OO buck is lethal at close range.

The deer slug is the clincher.

That's on top of my S&W Model 66 loaded with Silver tip Hollowpoints. Five speed loaders for it.

And not to mention two duty guns, CG Sig and PD Glock .40, and accompanying magazines.

We used the same set up in alsaska for protection agaist brownies. Wipe out the eyes and nose and then go for the shoulders to knockem down. Of course we were overly optomistic while we climbed and hiked through the alders and devils club so thick that a beer would be apon you before you could react. AHHH the memories of youth Cool

They're great dogs 'cept for all of that slobber they put out by the bucketsful.

But back to the thread, my favorite close-in handgun so far is the Lady Smith. And, for some reason, with a Lady Smith, at 10 yards or more out, I can put round after round right through a round target's center (I even put them through the hole made by the previous round(s) sometimes). But carrying a "Lady" Smith is not the most macho sounding of deeds, so I usually keep it a secret that I have one.

Anyway, this new Taurus shoots shotgun shells? How could I miss with that? Will a .410 slug fired from the Judge drop a griz?

Yes, its a combo revolver that shoots .45 colt long as well as .410 shotgun shells. For me, as I have gotten older, my aim is not as good as it once was, a shotgun revolver makes this the perfect self defense handgun. Regarding the grizzily question, if it is a mad charging momma grizzily nothing smaller than a .338 winchester magnum high powered rifle would do, unless Russian Roulette is your game. SmileCheck out the video on the Taurus International website, its actually pretty cool. The "Judge"
