Tell me. What's wrong with it?

If you don't have health care insurance have you ever been turned down for treatment at a hospital?

Please, no thread drift....what's wrong with YOUR, and I mean YOUR, YOU, health care plan?

Absolutely nothing. I love my Tricare benefits. I was actually surprised the premiums and co-pays did not go up this year.

Nothing President Obama can "fix"...He can only make it much, much worse.

Comparing my current plan to that of Oregon's state plan(suimilar to what the libbies want to cram down our troats) ...Mine wins hands down.

Nothing wrong with my Medicare/Kaiser plan. It should be made available to all Americans, with no out-of-pocket costs.

Why should some get it for free while others work decades to secure their coverage?

...you mean other than it is run by the federal government.

...you mean other than I am forbidden by LAW to be awarded damages for malpractice?

...man, I could go on, but you were probably talking to others.

I'm on Medicare and Tricare for Life. Love it. Before I turned 65 I was on Tricare Prime and loved that too.

There's nothing wrong with my Government health care plan. I'm glad I don't have to have a commercial death panel denying my claim or treatment just so they can recognize a profit.

You should have known better than asking for no 'thread drift.'

I'm as satisfied as I can be with my health insurance. With the exception that EVERY year my share of the premiums go up. And this year co-pays went up as well. Dental and vision suck. I am fortunate, though, that I can afford to cover my shares and fortunate that I havn't had any major health care problems. The only other thing I hate is trying to sort through all of the available plans every open season. Even with the government mandate to make the plans user friendly to read....they're not.

Well, I lost my six front teeth saving a fellow Coastie. The CG replaced those teeth. However, they did the job so well that the permanent bridge fell out the FIRST year of my retirement. The government said they didn’t cover teeth! So it has cost me nearly ten grand to fix the ‘professional’ job done by a military dentist. My civilian dentist told me to sue the guy that did the work in my mouth. I told him I was active duty when it happened. He said, and I quote, “It sucks to be you right now!”

Maybe I should have let my fellow Coastie drown… NOT!

But remember, the illegal alien would have been covered! Free medical care… I earned it… those lazy SOBs did not!

Which illegal alien got bridge work done?

So, after my 30 years working for the Commonwealth, by your standards, I should receive free health care for life? I better tell our negotiating team.

Pat, I’ll take your position for once… prove me wrong. Prove that NOT ONE good dental work. Not one.

If your service for that time also included life-time healthcare then you should get it. When I enlisted, that was the deal we made. Of course, they changed it but what can I do? I made a deal with a government that cares more about the rights of illegal aliens than the contract they had with a retired veteran.

Easy, TJ. Not everyone has a job covered by a good Union contract, including health insurance.

A good contract period! If you want health care provided for you seek a job that will provide it, or buy it for yourself. Don't expect others who work hard and have earned it to just pay for it for you! You want something earn it!!! It's really that simple. Wink
