Why is the House Judiciary Committee discussing NFL brain injuries? While I applaud the fact they are concerned about the health and well being of our fellow citizens, do they not have better or more appropriate business?
From their website:

I got in my first accident 2006 I was going down grand it's a four way stop, I looked right and left and right and left half way through the intersection I got T boned my new my car went up to the oppoist curb my front end of my car was destroyed I went through eye surgery 3 weeks later, I lost my drivers licence my daughter said "why don't you take a MRI" the doctor cut off may drivers licenes I walk every where I go my daughter sent me a Taxi voughers I rarely use them I take Lexapro and Newmenda two times a day.
Dan, to me thee is a major difference. The president is working all the time. Even when on the links all the things he needs to work are at his disposal. His job is 24/7 and high stress so he, like all presidnets before him, need to blow off some steam.
Congress on the other hand, goes out together drinking and womanizing. They poke their noses where it does not belong. Like the steroid debate and Spygate.

Esther,
Walking isn't too bad....no more car insurance payments or gas bills!!
I don't see a difference. All of them, President, Representatives, Senators, are elected. Different roles, yes, but Congress has no less responsibility than the President does when it comes to personal responsibility, decision making, and being stewards of my tax dollars and stewards of the security of the homeland.
I don't know how my tax money is involved in the NFL, or even why. Maybe Congress should cap NFL player salaries, but I digress...
I can remember there was some talk about having kids soccer programs require wearing helmets for protection while heading the ball. It never had any legs, but as a result of possible head injuries I see a lot of parents discouraging their kids from heading some of the longer goalie punts up field. Is the frontal lob overrated?
They have responsibility to see that the work place is safe. Kind of like an OSHA situation.
The Committee on Education and Labor is responsible for workplace safety, not these clowns led by our favorite tax cheat. I think this committee is in the wrong sandbox, or perhaps THEY have brain damage and accidentally wandered into the wrong committee.
Perhaps next time I'm at work I'll see if I can draft up some small boat policy!
Or maybe I just took one to many soccer balls to the head and I'm crazy
