Just got back from seeing this with the wife. To put it bluntly, this is a freakin' kicka$$ movie. Very heavy and very intense at times. The last 30 minutes will have you on the edge of your seat......and extremely pi$$ed at times. Just a real good film from top to bottom. It's one of those movies you can't help but bring home with you after you leave the theater. It'll definitely be in my DVD collection the day it's released at retail.

Gallup, don't trot, to your nearest theater and check this one out ASAP.

That review , while positive overall, was pretty off. These reviewers must sit in the theater just trying to come up with "witty" material as they watch the film rather than just allowing themselves to become engrossed in the story.

Syriana for dummies? I liked Syrianna, but in was nowhere near as engrossing as The Kingdom. At no point in Syriana was I overwhelmed with tension or suspense. Not to mention the fact that the two films tell two completely different stories.

I also didn't like the way the reviewer downplayed the acting. The cast did a much better job than he's giving them credit for.

At no point in the film is there any statement, implied or otherwise, that America is "righteous".

In no way shape or form is the film "anti-Iraq", as stated by the reviewer. And Iraq is mentioned several times in the film....shows how much attention this guy was paying.

And there was no door left open for a sequel. That statement by the reviewer obviously plays on the last two lines of dialogue in the film......both of which are meant to make the viewer think, not to leave room for a sequel.

catz..i don't usally agree with the credits either..i listen to what say..and others and then weigh it in my own way.

sisko and ebert hated porkys(yes i know ebert died or was it sisko?)..and i thought the original one was great..the sequels were totally lame.

now wildhogs everyone loved ..but well i liked it..but i would,nt say it was all that...i usally wait for a movie to come out on tv .i figure i pay for cable..can't complain there is nothing to watch...if i go to the movies all the time.

besides for the price you paid for Popcorn i could rent a video.

I agree with you Steve, I liked the interaction between the charactors of wild hogs but the actual story line was pretty weak. I guess thats what you get with very experienced actors and weak writing!
