I enjoy seeing you all arrive and post through out the day, but often am left wondering "whose working' and what multi tasks are you performing as you post daily here? I'm sitting in a bonded warehouse in chelsea handling day to day operations of a distribution facility while checking multi blogs in between soliciting and providing support to my customers.
I'm awake sort of. I'm a widow of CG man I'm on here because of him. I'm a volunteer at the LAPD in San Pedro CA. I'm waiting for my time to go down to the station I'm on my computer and bored out of my skull H
Sanrayo and I are usually the first ones on in the AM. You know how us east coast sailors are, we get a leg up on the rest of the folks. I'm off to work early. Usually log on when on the phone waiting for a live person to answer.
To plagiarize another's screen name, I'm retired and loving it. Checking in here to see which rants are the most interesting today while double checking to ensure I've got all the necessary stuff for the 1040 form.
Despite the President's call, I haven't really cranked the volunteerism back up since my former Congresswoman's campaign failed, but it's high time. I'm thinking of Meals on Wheels as worthy. Everything about them I can discern locally seems very positive. Anyone out there have experience with the group that they would be willing to share?

I regularly volunteer w/ Habitat for Humanity, its a great cause and you learn new skills along the way that you can use for your own home improvement projects. Cheers!
I's still a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, maintaining few Aux web sites and one CG web site. I also monitor CG Radio Teletype broadcasts for quality control purposes.
So I'm at this computer machine a good part of the day because of these volunteer work things hobbies.
I think the habitat for humanity crowd is a pretty fun crew to hang with as well, with a good mix of old and young volunteers. I sponsored a college kid to go to New Orleans over the x-Xmas break this year for Habitat. It's great that people volunteer their time to these causes.
I'm at work (as usual) and usually check in here once a day during lunch.
Honorary: My wife did "Meals on Wheels" for a couple of years before starting a full time job with V.O.A. She loved it. It was delivering lunch to mostly elderly people that needed the meal, but also loved to talk to someone during the day. Her route usually took longer than it should have, because she's not shy about talking either. Around here, the program was pretty hard hit when the price of gas went up and they were always looking for more volunteers.
At work, Mortician, It's Kinda dead right now (little humor, Couldn't help myself) Look over the forum daily and sometimes post from here as well. I'm the manager so I don't get in trouble
