I gave everyone a little while to post this because I wanted to see who would do it. Well, of course, no one on the left did it because it is a Democrat that should be on the hot seat. I’d like to see where an investigation goes!

Actually I watch MSNBC each morning! The Morning Joe Show isn't bad. But, if this were a Republican, this story would be front and center 24/7 till the person was dismissed. Instead, we need to search for a blurb. And MSNBC was a good one to use because they aren't beating the topic to dead... as they would if this were a righty.
But even if we drop the media BS, what do you think about the chairman getting special treatment? And he knew he was getting special treatment because the loan officer told him that fact. |

Two things to watch on this....
1. Who else took the "VIP" deals (Dem or Repub)? 2. Will Henry Waxman (D) follow thru with an investigation? TJ - As far as posting the Dem funnies, I had the same thought you did when no one posted the stories on two Dems who recently floated the idea of "nationalizing" the oil refineries/companies. I think Waxman would be the guy that would do it.
Lots of spin these days about energy. Will drilling make a difference? Not right away. Not drilling will be worse. Good points on the tube the other night how increased drilling will affect the futures market with the perception that more oil is being produced. I don't trust Big Oil anymore than I trust Congress. Neither the short term nor longterm energy problems will be solved by partisan bickering. It would be nice to see more science and less spin. So, I guess that makes Maxine a nationalist, or socialist? Ha!  |

Well, there goes the topic. No more is the light on a Democrat that got a sweet deal from the very companies he was in charge of overseeing. No more do we care about whether the Democrats get a free pass when they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

n1dp, I am not implying that you have a liberal bias. We haven’t had long enough discussions with you for me to have an opinion on your political leanings. And it would be okay if you did! Some of my best friends are liberal.
But the media should neither have a liberal leaning nor a conservative bias. They should report the news in an unbiased manner rather than playing the right against the left while ‘reporting’ the news. But they never do. They spin and twist and make things up in order to shine a negative light on the opposing viewpoint. And that is an abuse of power. |

Of course he wouldn't ask for special treatment. He doesn't have to ask. Do you think he sent an email saying that he would help out if they gave him special rates? Anytime one of our local lawmakers got caught in an ethics bind the standard statement seemed to be "I broke no law." Of course not, they make the laws. Or don't make the laws that could hurt them. |

olbermann actually covered it two days before you started the thread (remember, he's part of MSNBC....the same channel you got the story).....
seems the mccain camp brought it up because BHO has dodd helping with the vp search.....i believe that was the same day another lobbiest left the mccain campaign (in a paid position) |

Who is the radio show guy whose moniker is the militant moderate. He used to have a catchy line. Something that started like "Left, right, black, white ........., keep the libs out of your pocket and the Repubs out of your bedroom." I used to listen to him in Michigan. I thought he came off with a tilt to the right even though he claim moderate status. |
