This web site was started a while back with the intention to be an "unbiased", conservative alternative to Wikipedia. How many "unbiased" conservatives here think this website practices what it preaches? I pretty much find it to be nothing more than hate filled, anti-intellectual drivel.

What... no "Who Cares?" option?

"No Opnion". Try that. Just because you may not care does not make my post irrelevant. The reason I posted that link is because many so called "unbiased" conservatives are always the first ones to start whining when similar websites with left leaning tendencies are discovered. Now, do you have anything to add to this discussion? |

I just scanned it, but there is far too much discussion of religion. I was hoping to see some fiscal conservatism.

The people who stated that site have no business calling themselves "conservatives". That site is nothing more that creationist propaganda.

I see nothing wrong with teaching Creationism. There are a ton of major holes in the Theory of Evolution. But don’t label a site one thing and peddle another. Of course, it doesn’t take long for someone to realize that this site is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Fourstrings, it didn’t take long for you to get the observation you seemed to be waiting to read. You’re welcome! |

You have no business telling them that they have no business calling themselves conservatives, they might be conservative minded, most likely they are. Many liberal people call themselves centrists....Do they not have the right to call themselves whatever they want? Funny thing about the evolutionists and the creationists...One of the two is shoved down our childrens throats in public schools. Both can be supported by using facts. Both need a bit of imagination (faith) to follow them through to a conclusion. |

Scrounge, you mean science needs faith to believe?
Man, I could not have written that point better myself! Science, as it stands today, is full of faith. And, scientists will exclude data that does not meet their theory! I find that funny in a zealot kind of way! Scientists and their craft require as much ‘faith’ as religions do. The truth might well be a meeting of the minds. But don’t tell science that! They might not accept the data! |

I'd love to hear the "facts" supporting creationism.

Look around you....Intelligent design is everywhere, The cycle of life is a prime example. It takes real faith to believe that rocks colliding created a world where there is so much design. http://www.icr.org/neverstop/ http://religiousfreaks.com/2006/11/03/evolution-south-park-style/ |

Best quote ever "Did you ever notice that people who believe in creationism look really un-evolved" Bill Hicks |

Scrounge, I agree with you..again I agree with you. I have no doubt that the Lord created what we see, hear and feel around us. Having said that, we have to understand that much of the Bible was written in the context of it's time. IMO, science is revealing to us the miracle of evolution and natural selection. That the Lord has given all life the ability to adapt to it's surroundings and ensure it's survival. This is "intelligent design". I believe God wants us to learn about the world around us, that we may better appreciate all that he has created. Science helps us achieve this because the purpose of science is find truth not to disprove your beliefs. "Creationism" is a political football to galvanize a segment of the population. Christians should embrace science and accept it as a gift from God to understand the universe he created not a tool to prove he doesn't exist. This message has been edited. Last edited by: DJ_Wehr, |

Science has helped prove creationism, it has revealed intelligent design, over and over again....Science has not proven that evolution ever started anything new. Science still has not answered how things were originally created, especialy through evolution.

so if you believe in intellegent design, you must believe that space aliens creating life on this planet is just as plausible as your god creating the life, both are unproven,,,,,,,yet explain life......

Sac has a good point. If you believe that god created the earth. What about other gods Budda, Mohamed Etc, can you believe that they created the earth under "Intelligent Design" theory? What about more than one or multiple gods like the Greeks used to believe in? |

Buddha and Mohammed were not Gods.
Buddha was just a man who came to believe that he understood some basic truths of life and taught what he learned for himself. He never intended to be worshipped. One does not have to believe in a God or any Gods to be a Buddhist. You can be a Buddhist-Catholic, Buddhist-ATheist, etc.... They are mutually exclusive. Mohammed was a prophet who passed on the supposed word of God. |
