Since I believe in truthfulness and know that some people will hide their questionable income in their spouses account in order to hide it, I say both hubby and wifey should disclose their income when running for public office. I don't care whether they are donkey or elephant, full disclosure is appropriate!
Well, the difference in demands for disclosure is understandable ... everyone knows there is a huge amount of organized crime activity in the ketchup industry, whereas beer distributorships know no such involvement.
Soc, and the limousine liberals like the Kennedys fly around on private jets, too. And the Kennedys don’t have ‘homes’ but instead have ‘compounds’. And the same Kennedys that flight around on private jets demand we drive around in Prius cars. So, what was your point? That wealthy people live differently than you and me?
Also above you mentioned beer. The Kennedy clan’s money came from bootlegging. Talk about organized crime involvement?
you count mtv as a serious news outlet? or are you saying fox news is as serious with news as mtv is.......
next you'll be attacking john stewart, steven cobert and jay leno because they're not asking the tough questions......
I think you missed my point. Mtv made the same screams about Bush's family's tax returns in the '92 election. I remember watching it, I was a senior in college and they were aroused for Clinton back in the day (remember that hard hitting boxer/briefs question).
I'm just pointing out how all this crap keeps on coming up, and everyone just laps it up when it's to their advantage.
Quite frankly, I think all the usual suspects around here act like 3 year olds (on both sides of the aisle).
So, what was your point? That wealthy people live differently than you and me?
Also above you mentioned beer.
Dis, here's my point ... FRIVOLITY, HUMOR, SARCASM, SMART ASSERY, POKE FUN-ISM! Anything to drum up a bit of life into this flagging forum. So quit yer rock flippin' ...
Also, Cindy only made $6 million last year ... not that much. A fair amount of the "trappings of wealth" are tied to the beer distributorship. Not that I particularly care (or that it makes a difference), but I wonder if McCain's jet use constitutes excess campaign fund contribution.
