The Iraqies should be paying for the war, not us. We've paid in blood to protect them and I believe when we leave the Iraq'a will start killing everyone who doesn't agree with the government

I agree with part of what you said esther..i just am not sure why we went over there.
wmds? as liberators? or oil? but at 12 billion a month..i don't believe we can afford to stay...even bush admits the economy is in trouble over here..finally.. He must have turn off fox for msnbc www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23616851/ frankly leaving iraq..and new Demercrat president might be are only hope..i don't like hillary but who else is there? McCain is just bush all over again..and obamas middle name bothers me. Maybe she is right..it took a clinton to clean up after the first Bush " remembering bills campain sign which said "Its the Economy stupid" day sa vu..all over again. Iraq is a mess if iran or al-quaida want iraq..they will have to spend a few dollars cleaning it up..from what i hear anyways. This message has been edited. Last edited by: spacecowboy1, |

Iraq is a thorn in our side We didn't have any business over there. There was no AMDS? They had no weapons of mass destrution. Now that we're there how the *&^% do we get out of there?

You're right, and we don't. We're there and must stay there till we get it fixed. In 1952, no one would have believed that Korea would become the vibrant economic country that it is, but we had to stay there to make it happen. (And in '52, Truman's approval rating was even lower than Bush's.) The other alternative is do what we did in Vietnam, bail out, and lose. |

Why do we have to stay until it's fixed? Let Halliburton and Blackwater stay until it's fixed. Let the Iraqis pay for it. Everybody comes home ... we'll send Christmas cards. Oh, and winning and losing don't enter into it anymore. It's not a war ... just a massive social project.

Lose what? The United States? All of our Money? Our sense of unity? Look around buddy...it's time to give up the ghost...actually, that was a long time ago, as soon as the reason for going in was found out to be wrong it should have been over. But lets get something strait here, that "Mission Accomplished" banner that flew over the decider/uniter in chiefs head that day 5 years ago didn't have a thing to do with hostilities, no, it was about externalities perpetuated by the oil companies. "Just get in there", that was Bush's job when he was bought and paid for. This was NEVER about freedom/threat/liberation/Saddam/9-11/WMD/etc...those were the emotional triggers that you and many others fell for. No one, except a small number of people were saying "Hey, lets stop and think about this for a sec". Those true patriots were lambasted and ridiculed as being weak or wanting harm to come to us, none of which was true. 9/11 was a hostile take over by the fascists and the Bush family that was started a long time ago. Did you know that Bush's grandfather, along with heads of several corporations, (Goodyear to name one of many) tried to recruit members of the US military to over throw the Roosevelt administration? Or that he was a financial backer of Adolph Hitler? Maybe some should have paid closer attention. The Chess pieces were moved into place a long time ago and the U.S. in the middle of a giant metaphoric "check mate". Iraq has a surplus? Well good for them...bad for us. Who is to blame? You know the answer to that one...and think about it long and hard next time you're at the grocery store or filling up your gas tank. That is all I dare say in a public forum but know this, my anger is a deep well that has been dug by the ignorance and flat out stupidity of others. Blessed are the Peace makers...not the War Mongers. |

Kinda agree, but try telling a Vietnam vet it was just a policing operation. |
