Yes, the problem is likely on our end. It does seem that many of our viewers who can't see the videos have Norton installed. We have tried to replicate this issue by installing Norton on one of our computers, but we are still not able to replicate the issue. We're still investigating and are issueing a patch to the video player this week. Stand by.
I was able to view videos prior to your changes. I downloaded the viewer which works ok. I am using win 2000, with Norton internet security 2004. I turned off ad blocking with no success in having the videos start. When I request a video all that happens is a screen refresh. I hope that the problem can be reconciled.
I have done everything I can think of and everything the form has recomended and nothing not one video will play nothing happens and I sick of it, its been like this for a long time , so what do I do , I want to see some of this stuff, some one help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I turned off all firewalls pop up blockers all that crap, I reinstalled flash player, and nothing let me know before I destroy my computer from rage!!! josh

We understand your frustration and we are frustrated with this problem too. Unfortunately it may be another week before we get the fix implemented. We apologize for the inconvience and appreciate everyone's patience with this matter.
This is the first time I've been back to Military.com in 3 weeks. I'm still unable to view videos since the format change. Since that is the problem, the solution is clear: go back to using WMV format.
I'm using Windows XP and Norton Personal Firewall 2005 with ad-blocking disabled. Videos won't load when I use Firefox 2.0 or IE 6.0 (and I tried disabling the Firefox pop-up blocker just to make sure that wasn't the problem).
I can view Flash videos just fine on Google, Break.com, and YouTube.
Here's a weird twist. I'm one of the people who couldn't view videos on this site even though I could on Google, YouTube, Break.com, etc. I am now able to view videos here on Military.com. What changed on my system? I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader in favor of the Foxit Reader.
Could it be that on some people's systems, Adobe Acrobat Reader is somehow conflicting with the Adobe Flash Player and preventing video playback? Pretty weird, eh?
By the way, my platform is: Windows XP, Mozilla Firefox (although I couldn't view using IE 6.0, either), Adobe Flash Player 9. The Adobe Acrobat Reader version that I uninstalled is 8.0.

Wow, very intersting Lambda44. We're are still going to try and implement a fix sometime this week (hopefully). Maybe this would make the Adobe Acrobat Reader theory a non-issue. Has anyone else tried to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader?

I have been having trouble viewing for a few weeks also. XP, SP2, firefox 2.0, symantec client security, windows firewall. I just removed acrobat 8.0 and am having no problem viewing now.
I'm using windows xp Windows internet explorer from my home with norton internet 2006. I've tried viewing with norton off and spyware off and still no luck. I've done all the downloads and all the recomendations on your sie and still can't view 95%of videos. I have adobe 6.0 running on the computer. Every once in a while I can view a video that comes on which plays with my quick time viewer. Hope you can fix issue soon.
