-3.7 GPA (non-weighted) and 4.7 (weighted out of 6.0)
-Lots of AP/IB/Honors/Dual Enrollment courses. With the exception of two classes during my freshman year, every class has been honors or higher. In other words, by the time I graduated I would have done...
-2 Regular classes
-10 Honors
-8 AP
-9 IB (For the people who don't know, IB is on the same level as AP)
-4 Dual Enrollment classes (Calculus 2 and 3, Differential Equations, and Matrix Theory)
- Also took some extra courses over the summer at the local university.

SAT: I did ok... Out of 1600 I got a 1340. 750 Math and 590 Reading. I took it again today and I feel I did much better and hopefully got over a 1400.

The only sports I've done is JV Soccer (10th and 11th grade)

Extracurricular/Clubs:
-National Honor Society
-Spanish National Honor Society
-Mu Alpha Theta
-Chemistry Club (I'm an officer in this club - Secretary)

I did lots of volunteer hours for NHS,church, etc

I'm preparing myself physically as well. I'm not in the best of shape but I'm not in terrible shape. I can run for a while and have a good amount of strength. I've been working and will continue to do.

I'm also applying for the AFROTC. If I don't get into the academy, what's my chances of getting a scholarship? I plan to got to Virgina Tech and go into their Crops of Cadets. Thank you very much in advance to anyone who helps.

Your GPA is slightly low, but your class difficulty should make up for that (probably looks pretty good). Two years of one sport isn't that great. (It is what I had, so definitely not a killer). Volunteer hours are good. One leadership position...I don't know the details, so it's hard to say. VERY good math score, not so great reading. USAFA usually weights math higher, so you should be OK.

I think you have a pretty good shot. (I am not the one who decides, so I may be wrong.)

I don't have a nomination yet but I've sent my papers to get one so hopefully I'll find out soon enough.

But yea. I'm a first-generation college student. I was always told that if you get good grades and you'll get into college. I never really knew colleges wanted everything else they like to see until about 10th grade which is why I lack more leadership positions. If I'd had known, I would have made more of an effort to obtain them. Anyway, thanks for the help.
