hey guys i need some help. i really want to go to the air force academy, but i didnt apply myself through high school or my first year of college. ive always been smart but didnt have goals so i didnt work hard. i know my gpa isnt good emough to get into the academy right now so my question is: is there any test i can take or prep school i could go to( besides the actual A.F. academy prep school)that would actually give me a shot at getting in?
I'm fairly certain that VMI wouldn't appreciate being called a "Prep school".
Along with what Raimius said, be aware there is a time crunch too, to get in. I'm not sure if AFA is the same, but with my school the oldest you could be on the day you were sworn in was 23 years old. The clocks ticking, so just be aware of that.
If your goal is to attend an academy, AFA specifically, you may be in a bit of a bind, but if your goal is to be in the Air Force, AFROTC is always an option.
Very true, VMI is an excellent school with it's own top-notch program. I know several cadets who went there for a year first. That is why I mentioned it.
