What would you do in my situation, what is my best course of action? I'm 17 years of age a Junior in high school and currently have 43 college credits where I attend part time. I've been thinking about all ROTC types. Since I will have my associates degree by the time that I graduate from high school, I would like to get my bachelors and masters degree if possible, as I will graduate the same time as people entering into an undergrad program. I would have to attend something after my senior year in the summer, and I want my bachelors degree and masters paid for, what options does the air force have to allow me to get this done? Also I am gonna be in history or political science, perhaps logistics management if it helps.

Time to go talk to an AF representative. Maybe an AF ROTC detachment at a university someplace? You could go to the AF ROTC web page but it is nice to talk to a person face to face.
Anyone at your school who could help you - did you talk to the counselors yet? You are looking way ahead to even think about a Master's degree - take it one step at a time. So - go talk to an AF ROTC rep somewhere. Or just go to the web page (www.afrotc.com) and apply for a scholarship. As a Junior you are way early. Then finish High School and see if you can get a scholarship. By the way, since you are posting on an AF Academy forum - you probably do not know the difference between AFA and AF ROTC? Anyone in your family have any military experience? Anyone at school? You could apply for AFA as a Junior - that is when most people apply. And you might get a profile - those numbers don't get you much attention. Charles D Phillips LtCol, USAF (Retired) background: USAF Active Duty, Texas Air National Guard, and USAF Reserve |
