Here's what I have going for me...BMT Honor Graduate, tech school Distinguished Graduate, SrA below the zone, top pt score, letter of recommendations from LTC's, training instructors, letter of recommendation and direct recommendation from a MSgt who is head of retention/recruiting and who is directly recommending me to work for him, previous civilian sales experience, cross-trained in 2 AFSC's. What I don't have is my level 5 (went to school for 1C3, came home and transferred to different state and had to cross-train, so I have two 3 level function badges). I've heard you can't be a recruiter until you have your 5 level. Is there any way around this? Especially with a direct recommendation from the recruiting senior NCO whom I'd work for? Thanks for any info you can give me! (I'm traditional now but it would be either an AGR slot or tech slot. I've been in the guard for about 2 years).

* I just read the Air Force active duty site about recruiting and recruiting requirements and it just talks about time in service...which I don't meet but I'm not sure if that's the same for the guard as well. Are there any waivers available for not meeting time in service requirements?*
