The 2nd Marine Division from camp Lejune, NC was involved for sure.Elements from the Marines and the 82nd conducted a House-to-House Operation together in June.

The main purpose of the Dominican Operation was to protect American Citizens and rescue them also, to take back the control of the country from Rebel forces who had overthrone the government.
