If you're 100% and can't make it to a VA hospital or clinic how does one go about getting civvie care? I've tried this morning getting into a local MD but no one will see me without my medical records.
YOU CAN GO TO ANY VFW, AMERICAN LEGION, DAV, OR ANY SERVICE ORGANIZATION TO GET TRANSPORTATION TO YOUR APPTS. IF YOU SEEK OUTSIDE DOCTOR VISITS YOU NEED TO GET YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS, YES, IF YOU PLAN ON KEEPING THIS DOCTOR.
YOU CAN GO TO ANY SERVICE ORGANIZATION AND THEY WILL GET YOU TO YOUR APPTS. IF YOU CHOOSE OUTSIDE DOCTORS THEN INDEED I WOULD WANT MY MEDICAL RECORDS TO SHOW WHAT MY CONDITIONS WERE.

I know about the transportation thing, I usually transport myself. This in a case of emergency when I can't drive myself. Is there not a minimum mile distance to a VA care facility before civvie care is authorized?
