A few months back I was attempting to join the Coast Guard after I got out of the Marine Corps. During the Medical Prescreen portion of the process I was informed that I was permanently disqualified by MEPS, my recruiter never told if it was waiverable or not.
Id had some lower back problems caused by my civilian job during the last year of my reserve contract with the Corps. I went to civilian physicians, had MRI's, EMG's so on and so forth, with no diagnosis except sciatica. I went to the chiropractor, and got better. I havent had any pain for quite some time now, and have all my civilian documentation. I originally wanted to get into the Coast Guard for Law Enforcemnt, but now since they wont take me I'm looking towards the Navy.
As I said before I havent had any pain or symptoms for quite a long time now, and have been applying to civilian police departments in my area, taking and passing their physical fitness tests with flying colors. Does anyone know if the Navy is currenty accepting waivers or not? Any and all information anybody can pass along would be greatly appreciated.
