Good day folks. I have a question about the entitlement of a move after you retire. Will the CG pay for a member and family to move after you retire 20 yrs service to any location? Or are you afforded a move equal to your home of record? TKS for the help.

With the number of responces to this complex question (none) I guess the idea is to have your last assignment where you want to retire or just retire within the continental US. Good da Cooly

You might want to ask on the Old Salts Board or Moving On. I believe they will move you anywhere you plan to settle. Don't know for sure, cause I ended up moving 3 miles from base housing to a home we bought just prior to retiring.

The rule use to be they would move you a distance equal to the distance to your home of record upon enlisting. Perhaps you might want to ask your servicing SPO.

a. get the old PERSMAN out and it will guide you to your answers.

b. take a taps class in the state you will be retiring to. Each state has different benefits and entitlements for veterans.

c. go to PSC's webpage and visit the retirement section...it has loads of pertinant info including a handy dandy pamphlet to download.
