What if our economy does hit rock bottom, and I am talking about bread lines, and middle class wiped out. How will that affect us in the military? Will we feel the effects? Will we still hold our pay/job? Just something that has crossed my mind.
There was massive downsizing of the military in the Great Depression, even considering how small it was already. Promotions were virtually at a standstill, and there was no new equipment.
