I received my orders to MST "A" School on April 13, 2009. Anyone else going?

For those who have been through "A" School in Yorktown, do any of you have any tips for me? I am completely clueless as to what I'm supposed to do when I get there... I don't want to get chewed out for it!

In relation to "A" School's intensity: Is it anything like boot camp? I know that our uniforms have to be squared away and the likes, but am I going to be "hitting the deck" every 10 minutes?

Kevin,

Pay close attention to customs and courtesies. Keep a sharp uniform. Act professional. Study hard. Don't be late.

It's not like boot camp. You'll be fine.

Show up for watch on time because you don't want to go to one in three's and mandatory trops.

Be very, very, very careful with alcohol if you're old enough to drink. If you aren't 21 or over don't even think about alcohol period.

If you act like an adult the staff will treat you like an adult. Oh, and enjoy Mr. Henson's stories and have fun reading CFR's all day.

In addition, don't even think about drinking and driving (which you shouldn't anyway). Not even a couple. York County Sheriffs gun for Coasties!
