...for the summer, and we've always been really competitive.

I've always been fitter than him, and I was just wondering what you guys might reccommend me to expect of his physical performance so I can still best him.

Right now I'm traing every other day to meet or beat Air Force/Marine Corps standards, since they are higher, but since I know he is entering fit, I know he'll be past the minimum, and possibly good enough to get a badge, so what advice can you give me to get and keep in better shape than him?

Thank You, and by the way, his name is Tyler Willis if any of you may know him.

Dude,

Let it go. Trying to keep ahead of your "friend" all the time smacks of self-confidence and self-esteem issues.

However, just for sh|ts and giggles... Any Basic Training course is going to whip one into shape, or better shape than before. Unless you are running and doing various PT exercises (that stress all major muscle groups) all day, every day, you won't be able to surpass someone who has graduated Basic Training.

How about keeping yourself in shape, and stop worrying about your "friend's" fitness level?

Also, maybe your "friend" doesn't want his name plastered all over the Internet. What a friend you are! Roll Eyes

High School huh? is that why you can't read the part that say ARMY INFANTRY forum? The youth of this world really have me worried these days. Drink milk kid, stay in school, don't do drugs, use a condom, wear a seat belt and remmeber to study.

He's going into the army infantry is why I put it here. Sorry about that, but, even though I may have done something wrong, the amount of rude responses I got is really bad, it greatly pushes me away from the army as a career choice.

Matt, thanks, as your the only one with a somewhat helpful response really, but I do keep myself in shape anyway. I just notice I excel most when in competition against other people.

Right about the name thing to, but, I doubt he's the only person with that name, and I know this guy to be pretty poor with technology, so he's never going to know how to navigate to a forum page.
