My father began his career as a Marine Paratrooper in 1942, eventually serving 8 years during WWII and Korea. He passed away recently and left me several hundred old pictures, several dozen of which were taken during his time in the service. I’m searching for anyone with information about these pictures taken around San Diego, Camp Pendelton and an unidentifiable South Pacific island. They can be viewed at a website I created, www.clydeadams.com/marines. Please contact me at info@clydeadams.com if you have any knowledge of the time, location or people in any of these pictures.
thanks, clyde adams |

Have you checked with your local VFW Post or Marine Corps League Detachment? Those Marines that served with your Dad, and are most likely to recognize the photos, are probably not going to view anything on-line.
Another thing, be persistant and keep looking. I've been researching the Veterans of my family and have found out that it can take some time before hearing anything back from one's efforts. Keep up your search and good luck! Semper Fi, Tony USMC Vet |

i've been in touch with a few of dad's old marine corp buddies and hope to contact a few more. i realize that rare is the wwii vet who will be reading online post, but i wanted to exhaust all possibilities. and also, maybe some online readers have wwii vet friends/family members that they'll consider passing my request on to.
thanks for the info and the encouragement. i'll be patient in my search. clyde |
