The following description appears on Paul Freeman's site "Abandoned & Little Known Airfields", under Southeastern South Carolina, for Page Field at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, SC. There is a photo with the description.
However I haven't been able to find the book not the photo but I did find this 1942 Photo!
"PAGE FIELD At MCAS Parris Island, S.C. Named 19 Sep 1938, prior to station commissioning, in honor of CAPT. Arthur H. Page, USMC, pioneer in instrument flying and racing pilot, who crashed to his death while leading in the Thompson Trophy Race, 1930 (no longer active)."
