Did I miss it? There appeared to be no mention of the nearly catastrophic losses allied bombers incurred during the Ploesti raids. Knowing you have to take wikipedia entries as just one source, verifying all important info before quoting actual numbers, you can read this and discover this mission was a disaster, as the damage was quickly repaired. It wasn't until a similar raid in 1944 that the oil refining capability was destroyed.
